Triumph of artistic design over engineering Pt.2.

Two things that you shouldn't say to a model engineer, it can't be done and it can't be repaired.
My blip of two days ago bemoaned the shoddy design of an expensive cleaner, the whole strain of the foot switch was taken by the little broken plastic stud, moulded into the body of the cleaner. The official repaire is to replace the body, costing £££ in parts and labour. The unofficial method involves 30 minutes, a steel screw and a plastic bush.
While it was opened up I also discovered some rather unimpressive wiring, it's safe but----.
