72nd Anniversary of the NHS

We wanted to celebrate the NHS and also all key workers and volunteers who have helped during the current crisis (and will be needed for a good while yet). After lots of discussions we had a special service online which involved interviewing various key workers and volunteers and one of our parishioners made this lovely flag. People were invited to bring flowers to show their appreciation. It's difficult to see the flowers in the picture and they look a bit of a poor show but actually there were quite a few little jars with garden flowers in but due to the heavy rain and strong wind they had to be squashed together in this box to stop them blowing away. A bit of a shame and I think there might have been more if the weather had been better. I managed to get this Blip late on Sunday when things calmed down a bit.
We had a lovely surprise in the evening when our daughter called around with her boyfirend and they were able to come into our house for the first time in ages - we ordered take away pizzas to celebrate!
