Costume for Conchubar

We have managed to work out that some of the loose pictures in the archive of Lorna's art work relate to a 1907 play by WB Yeats about the Irish heroine Deirdre. It appears that Lorna designed the costumes for the production. This is the first in the series.

I am sorry to say that I haven’t many bright suggestions for this, but if you can’t get hold of any heavy rather dull material of this type and colour, I should advise the use of dark blue. You might be able to raise an old table cloth or curtain from someone’s home and make a sort of dressing gown out of it.
