Golden light

At last - I've actually succeeded in tracking down all the paperwork required for the accounts! Hooray!

MrM had a Zoom session early evening, playing fiddle with friends, so it was well past 8.30pm before we set off for our walk. Out on the Earle road, then up through the fields and across to Ramsay Lane. The sheep haven't been grazing the top field for a while, and it's covered in meadow grasses and wild flowers. There are remnants of an ancient hedge (extra), and remains of a stone wall and, walking along the path by the edge of the field, views across to Kettles Fort and down in to the valley of the Pin Well. On the way back down we were treated to a glorious sunset (extra)!

A lovely walk but in exposed areas the wind was decidedly bracing, and we were glad to get home to warm up with a hot drink! Is it really July?!
