Hjaltland

Because of the bad weather yesterday the NorthLink ferry Hjaltland didn't sail from Lerwick to Aberdeen last night but the Hrossey managed to make the trip North. This meant we had two ferries in today so the Hjaltland berthed in the harbour at around lunch time we made for an uncommon sight. I'm particularly pleased that the pigeon on the rope on the left decided to pose for the event.

Weather today was one of extremes -

8 am winds 31 mph gusting to 45 mph
3 pm winds 2 mph no gusts
6 pm winds 40 mph gusting 53mph.
