A Genuine Winter Rose.....

Yesterday I attended a rose pruning demonstration at the Rose Garden in Pollard Park. This afternoon I checked out our modest number of roses. I was amazed to find that a favourite, Margaret Merrill is bravely showing off three flowers... In the middle of winter! Amazing. I will hold off pruning her until the flowers fade.
We are enjoying daughter Margaret’s and granddaughter Emily’s company. Alas they return to Wellington tomorrow.
