Common Spotted Orchid

Day 142 - Dactylorhiza fuchsii which survived being strimmed last year. We are turning this piece of lawn into a wild flower meadow so it should be safe now. Just spent 10 minutes trying to confirm the name commemorates Leonard Fuchs (as in fuchsia) but without success. The kind of thing that keeps you awake at night!
