Another trip across the Border this afternoon, to Kelso, to fetch the 'click and collect' shopping. On the way back we called in to see Janet, who had invited us for a socially distanced cup of tea. Glad we'd taken winter woolies as it was a tad chilly for sitting out, with a keen breeze from the north! But very pleasant all the same, as she has created a fabulous garden - a large vegetable plot, and the rest a proper cottage garden, quite wild and wonderful and bursting with colour. These three containers provide water for the birds.

In the evening I finally ordered the pair of winter boots that I tracked down on the internet about a month ago, but just haven't got round to doing anything about them until now. The same style as the ones I've worn constantly for the last three winters, but no longer being made.  These, it seems, are one of only two pairs available anywhere, they're red and in my size! And as they're old stock, much reduced in price. Yay!
