How come agapanthus always look better in the ground?

An illegal visitor brought me these yesterday. Obviously I stayed isolated in my bedroom throughout our cups of tea and gossip. I’ve missed girl talk even if we didn’t have that much riotous chat seeing as the social life has been a bit curtailed. A newly single pal so ‘counselling’ her on the ins and outs of internet dating provided the majority of the scandal :))
Almost felt normal for a few hours.
