It was a beautiful morning for a walk through Aberlady Nature Reserve and with the tide right out it was possible to walk beyond Gullane Point where the eiders were gathered with a couple of cormorants on the rocks.  The eiders usually nest on the islands of Fidra and Craigleith  but some do nest nearby on the reserve.  The clouds to the north were building up and by the time we were home the sky had clouded over and later it poured.
