put the boot

Im very tired today, not surprising since I was up till 3.30.
It was snowing by the time I left the hospital, no buses, the only option (apart from walking) was to take a taxi.
Taxi driver followed the satnav, even when it pointed up a very steep, snowy hill. after we slid around a bit, i suggested we go the long way round.
he still wouldn't drive up my road, so I had to walk the last bit.
