Beauty is all around us.

A Saturday canal walk.

The weather looked a bit risky but Paul and me needed to get out into the countryside, so we set off suitably dressed and Paul carried the golf umbrella.
We set off from High Street bridge in Rishton and turning left, we carried on strolling, enjoying the warmth of the sun whilst praying the grey clouds would not open and soak us. We were fortunate and the whole circular walk we stayed dry.
We walked to Church Kirk and passed fields of sheep and saw horses with two foals. The Canada Geese were very impressive as 25 plus of them glided along the canal parallel to us.
We past old Victorian disused mills and some fascinating narrowboats.
There were also some lime kilns cut into the landscape. I saw a lovely clear view of Pendle Hill. There were many beautiful wild flowers along the tow path.
I tried to include the general feel of our walk which clocked up 10, 579 steps on my Fitbud.
It is the longest distance we have walked since the Covid19 crisis and it was so lovely. We past cyclists and dog walkers and chatted to other walkers.
Thanks for dropping by blip friends and thanks for recent comments and stars.
