Seven-spot Ladybird .....

.... the most common ladybird in Europe.

I don't often see them at home but here in Elie there are plenty to be spotted on the wild coastal vegetation.

9 holes of golf, a good walk if not a particularly good standard of play, and then it was off to St Andrews to pay for a new bike that will be delivered sometime this evening.  My hip joints are not as supple as they used to be and I was having increasing difficulty getting on to the bike. I now have a lovely red low rise bike which suits me just fine.
