Anchor

This is a view of the business end of the anchor, shaped like a plough it is designed to dig-in to the seabed. At the end of perhaps 50m of chain it can remain secure in the strongest winds.

Wind direction may change, however a well dug in anchor can cope, otherwise it may lead to ‘All Hands on Deck’ to reset the anchor with crew in pyjamas and perhaps driving rain at an ungodly hour

Happy sailing!
