By the Sea

A chance visit to Felixstowe today (we missed the turning to Bawdsey, our intended destination) showed us a really pleasant seaside, apparently a Blue Flag beach.  There were plenty of beach huts and this ice cream kiosk.

The beach hut in the Extra was being cleaned; only after I had taken it did I realise that there was a lady bending over inside.

After a picnic on the Bawdsey bank of the River Deben we visited Sutton Hoo for the first time, a fascinating place.  It's not fully open at present, but it showed us enough for us to want to visit again.
