Between fen and mountains

In search of a flower

This was the only little bit of nature I could find on the rather barren industrial estate where our budget hotel is situated. The journey to Orléans was uneventful but the tunnel arrangements at Folkestone were very slow. The long queue moved extremely slowly and it seem to be because both the French and English border controls were scanning all passports. I suppose this is in readiness for the end of the transition period. I can’t imagine things ever being as easy as they used to be. Dinner tonight is an assortment of Marks and Spencers salads and fruit. It seemed a preferable, safer option rather than eating out in a local restaurant.
