River of Flowers

Sunday: Magpie Moth

Another fine and dry day, light breeze to dry the washing.
Made some space in the greenhouse for tomatoes. Cut back the Passion flower which always takes over - it’s the perfect hiding place for slugs and snails - quickly rehoused in the compost bins.
Saw the moth as I was moving things about outdoors, I’ve blipped a couple in the past but they’re quite a rarity here.
Carder bees have taken over - their nest was a couple of inches across when I first saw them 2 months ago https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2705516530564595973 - it’s about 18 inches across now and lots of bees working around the perimeter so may will end up even bigger! I’m so glad they’re thriving, the weather has been atrocious but fine weather on the way!
Picked more raspberries, they’ve been prolific this summer :-)
MrD went to Benllech for a few groceries and was shocked at how busy it was and lack of social distancing :-((
Stay safe & healthy and happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
