The Climb

As planned we went up to the crater of Mount Ruapehu today. It was a nice day with a very cool wind at the top.

My legs, particularly my thighs were groaning from the last 2 days of running for PT (we ran up a few hills yesterday) but there was no hurry to get to the top and we finally got there. 7 years living in Waiouru and I finally visit the crater for the first time! I'll see if I can fit another trip in this year, maybe from the other side!
