Centennial Glen

Okay then. Time for a Blue Mountains picture. If you cross the railway line at Blackheath and keep driving you get to the Shipley Plateau. From there you have access to two of the most beautiful valleys. One is the Megalong Valley with its temperate rainforest and olde worlde tea rooms. Cathaber and Olib went there a few days ago.

The other side offers you the fabulous Kanimbla Valley. To the right hand side of the image are the Centennial Glen cliffs which are very popular for hang gliders and abseilers. Every now and then (such as the week before last) intrepid adventurers have to be winched out of that area by helicopter. There's a fabulous walking track ledge along there - which I shall photographically take you to in due course. I am pretty sure that the distant peak is Mt York.
