Local Mosaic

This is portion of a mosaic in a subway which is part of the Greenway Project. Children in the Environment is the theme of the artwork. It was designed by a muralist from the Rail Department and the mosaic was done by the Studio of Spontaneous Creativity. Local schools and the community were also involved in the project.
The Greenway is a project that aims to provide light rail, a flora and fauna corridor and active transport path within the inner-west of Sydney. The active transport path has unfortunately been delayed by political priorities but we are confident that local pressure will bring it about in the longer term.
