Poppy Seed Head

From above this seed head looks rather like a many armed starfish but as you can see from the extra the seed head belongs to that lovely species of poppy which bloom long after the big, showy oriental poppies.

A real mixture of weather today ..... warm, quite windy, heavy clouds, one shower of rain, and spells of sunshine ..... nothing bad enough to keep us in!
