Buena Vista Cemetery

We have visited Port Gamble at least a half dozen times, but never bothered to walk up the hill to the cemetery. Today when we stopped - before picking up our daughter from the Kingston ferry - we did make the trek to the historic (as is everything in this small town) cemetery. Awesome views of the Hood Canal Floating Bridge and a great history lesson reading the headstones and interpretive markers. Most of the headstones had the person's time on earth down to the day as the above shows (26 years, 3 months & 4 days). A truly great spot!
