The Riverside Railway Bridge

There is a Riverside Railway here in Marlborough. It runs on a very narrow gauge track, with the iron rails having been used in the gold mining days. A group of volunteers have built the railway which runs for a long stretch of the Taylor River banks. The whole train journeys along the route to the town centre and back then a section crosses the river via a bridge to the Omaka Airfield and aviation museums. Children, in particular love trips on the train. A great attraction for the district thanks to the volunteers who work hard to ensure its success.
