Homegrown Harvest

Sticking with the food theme ... we harvested some of our tomatoes yesterday evening, along with some basil and a few (tiny but tasty) squash.  I made a Caprese Salad with the tomatoes and basil, some fresh mozzarella, and a splash of balsamic vinegar and served it alongside dinner last night.  The squash were delicious simply cut up and eaten raw as a sort of "garnish" to some cold chicken. 

For some reason our squash plant seems loath to produce anything larger than these little offspring.  Perhaps because it is in a planter on the terrace, rather than being in the ground?
