Home sweet home

Start the day with a refreshing walk with M. We are so lucky to live in a village surrounded by beautiful countryside. 
This is the view of our beloved village as we walked back down the hill. Through spring and lockdown we’ve watched the crops in the fields grow and mature. How they survived that spring with weeks without rain is beyond me but I guess strains are produced to do just that.
After the walk, a relaxing coffee in M’s lovely little cottage garden. Then home to do more work in my own garden which has certainly benefited from having more time spent on it this year. 
We are fortunate as we have completed our working life and enjoyed full employment. I feel so sorry for all those who will find themselves unemployed and struggling in the next few years through no fault of their own. I hope the government uses this time to get creative and help them to find new, fulfilling jobs.
