Between fen and mountains

Walking to the belvedere

I set about weeding the courtyard first thing.  The top surface has to be scraped with a spade and the weeds then raked up. As every centimetre of 100 square meters has to be covered, it is heavy work. I managed about half of the yard. I relaxed, if that is the right word, with an online hatha yoga session. It was not too strenuous but enough with already aching muscles. I walked up to the belvedere in the afternoon to begin to try to get back my 'mountain' legs after eight months on the flat lands with not a hill in sight. Usually it is too hot in the afternoon for walking. Today it was only 21 degrees which is relatively cool for this time of the year.
