Notre Dame de la Consolation

I love the way that no matter how grey the sky, this little hilltop chapel always seems to have its own little ray of sunshine to illuminate it. I've photographed it loads of times but never been happy enough with the result to blip it. This attempt isn't too bad. And I resisted the urge to apply a Snapseed "drama" filter.

There are beautiful views from the chapel, especially in autumn when the leaves on the sea of vines surrounding it are changing colour. There's also a little pine wood next to it which is a lovely place for a picnic. There are no regular services in the chapel, but it's occasionally used for concerts and exhibitions in the summer.

Erm, and yes, there are vines in this blip. Again. Go large, and you might be able to see some wind turbines too.
