When a camellia falls, it makes a plunk sound that is audible in a quiet area.  It is a small sound.  That may be the sound the old Japanese were thinking of when they likened it to a beheaded samurai's head hitting the ground.
  
We have two camellias in our yard.  Today, I have a request to buy two umbrellas to provide shade and keep them from burning up in the hot summer sun. But what if I don't?   Plunk.
