S:t Olafs Church Ruin in Sigtuna

I spent most of my childhood’s summers in Sigtuna with my maternal grandfather.  And with the rest of my own family of course.  Sigtuna was founded in AD 970 by King Erik the Victorious as the first Christian town in Sweden and also the first capital.  S:t Olafs Church was probably built in the first half of the 12th century.

As a young boy I tried to examine the ruin by climbing the walls.  When my mother wasn’t there to stop me.  Today I used my camera.
