Contrasting styles

An understated NZ native kowhai (Sophora molloyii 'Dragon's Gold') and a cheerful Australian ground cover, grevellia - Mt Tamborthia.

My kowhai were decimated by the native kowhai moth. After some soil adjustments I'm hoping that they'll resist better next autumn.

The grevellia thrive year round and provide a burst of colour, mostly in winter. Nothing seems to upset these guys. They don't mind heat and dry, and so far have handled wet and cold.

Today's gratitude: For a successful return to spin without the national grid running through a third of my body.
