Four deaths, 524 new Covid-19 cases were registered in Bahrain

Six cases of the coronavirus disease have infected 77 people within families and at workplace.  A 21-year-old Bahraini man, was tested positive,  Through contact tracing, an additional 26 members of the family – over four generations – tested positive.
The average number of daily cases was 502 last week, which went up to 518.6 this week.
A total of 3,590 cases were those who contracted the virus locally while 40 were travel-related.  Of these 1,720 were within close contacts, 955 tested positive after developing symptoms, 774 from random sample testing and 141 tested positive after completing quarantine.

India on Friday became the third country in the world to record more than one million cases of the new coronavirus, behind only the United States and Brazil, as infections spread further into the countryside and smaller towns.
India recorded 34,956 new infections, taking the total to 1,003,832, with 25,602 deaths from COVID-19. That compares to 3.6 million cases in the United States and 2 million in Brazil
