A fox cub at dawn in the Community Garden

The ears still look a little big for her.   Although the garden is huge by modern standards one wonders how the vixen will feed 4 cubs adequately when there is no way for all of them to leave to hunt except by leaping a high wall or going onto the busy road via the gate hinge slit.  But this morning one cub had caught a bird in the garden and was carrying it triumphantly home (see extra) and the vixen also carried something.  I haven't seen the 4 squirrels recently and wonder if she has caught those.  What an ally if so for they are devils for stealing radishes, strawberries and maize. And talking about thieves nobody has mentioned seeing the large rat in greenhouse 2 for quite a while.  Perhaps she has had that too.
