Starlight ahead

Today, the world mourns the loss of Congressman John Lewis. His importance to the American civil rights movement cannot be understated. In a historic 1965 march in Selma, Alabama, Mr. Lewis endured a brutal beating on the Edmund Pettis Bridge (can we get it renamed to John Lewis Bridge?) and, after MLK in my opinion, became the towering figure in getting the voting rights act passed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr. Lewis. For everything, you sacrificed for our people and our country, your reward in Heaven will be waiting. The "good trouble" you got into blessed us all.

Rest In Peace
