Home and Garden

A day at home today, catching up on housework and gardening. Other friends are visiting H today, so I just rang her instead. 

Made a batch of satsuma marmalade. Slowly but surely we are working our way through the fruit and veg box we were given! Also made a rice pudding. Four hours in a slow oven and it was delicious, especially with some strawberry jam stirred through it!

The garden is doing really great this year, all the vegetables and flowers are growing well. I keep having to do more tying up of beans and peas. I have used miles of twine and dozens of canes!  The broad beans are just about ready to harvest.

Must remember these wonderful sunny days in the middle of the winter!
