The Look of Love!

Just as some of the seabirds are thinking of packing their bags and departing as the breeding season comes to an end then others arrive to take their place.

The sanderlings, a great favourite of mine, have returned now as their holiday is over. This is the first time I have ever seen them sporting their summer colours. The pale chestnut with darker marbling looks very attractive indeed.
