Etched By Nature

Nature, in the form of light and weather, has a transformative effect on the lake surface, creating a wonderful variety of textures, shapes and patterns. I suppose one could add to that the hand of man from waves and wakes and splashes. But at the end of the day water returns to its natural state, unaffected by it all. Even then I suppose it gives us pleasure with reflections.

A dark sky in the middle of the day belied the forecast that today was supposed to stay dry.The heavens opened and sent forth a torrent so intense the rain bounced off the water surface. Where the dark shapes came from I can't say, hidden depths, wind, heat or light maybe.

In any case, the scene looking as if made by pencil drawing or etching, was quite graphical.
