Barbondale Pass

Mum, Dad and I were all meeting friends in Sedburgh for a picnic in their garden. We all chose different methods to get their, Mum drove, Dad walked across the Howgills and I cycled. Sedbergh is only 10 miles from Kendal so I chose a large detaour via Milnthorpe, Killington Reservoir and then this pass up Barbondale.

I wasn't expecting this part of the cycle to be the busiest but there were dozens of cars parked up the road side , further down where you can paddle in the Barkin beck, having picnics.
