Comet Neowise

As last night the sky was clear I decided to try to photograph Comet Neowise which for the next few days is visible in the northern skies in the pre dawn hours.  I walked up onto Hampsfell at about 1am and stayed until about 4am when the first signs of the dawn light started to appear.  The comet is visible to the naked eye but you are not likely to see the tail unless using binoculars or a telephoto lens.  It was a magical experience and enhanced by all the little white eyes of the sheep on the fell being picked up by my headtorch as they came to see what I was doing.

If you want to see it for yourself at the moment Neowise is below and a little to the right of the Plough.
