Lunchtime bird watching

The sparrow hawk in the photo was enjoy a lunch of wood pigeon in the garden of an empty house opposite. I took some photos of it from our window (with my biggest lens) and then moved outside and was able to get a bit of a better photo.  Soon after it did fly off and take lunch with it.

We had seen remains of pigeons a few times recently probably eaten by a hawk so knew that one was around, a stunning bird.  A photo from our window in extra.
