Night Deck view

I know this is a rubbish photo but I wanted to record the view from our deck with the comet and it’s place under the big dipper and between the wires of the only high structure close by (of course it’d be there!) This one does look a lot better large.(the little arrows on bottom right)  why is that?    If you look closely the comet NEOWISE is to the right of the electric pole under the 2nd wire down.  clouds starting to move in so that is the last of it for 6800 years.  (assuming there is an earth with any humans left)  Deserves recording.  (Cheating a bit as it’s last night about 11. )

Summer ZoomTai chi started today  (extra) —hybrid… in a park spread out or online.  Kudos to our teacher who figured out how to make this happen with a different microphone and camera and using hotspots.   There were 6 people spaced out in the park and 11 online.    I’d rather be in the park but……maybe later.   The new normal?  Okay til fall and the rains come.   she is nothing if not flexible and adaptable.    You can see it got cloudy and cool!

Seattle schools announced today it would start in the fall online, as have other cities.   I don’t blame the teachers but feel so bad for the kids.   A chance this will get revisited in a month.   ( If the spread slows considerably. ) NO basketball til Jan,  football in March.   all tentative. UGH.


I saw on a tv news program trying to help parents with kids at home to make sure there was at least one small accomplishment each day.    Today, I cleaned some and washed the kitchen floor, finished a few masks, and helped H with his storeroom cleanout.  Yesterday he fell over a box in the tight space and has scrapes on head, elbow and leg.   He says it’s worth it to get rid of a few things (big load to the thrift store SOON) including many boxes of MANY trip memories we‘ve kept.   Most of it is tossed out now but we did have to go trough it all for a few treasures.   I’ll bet we doin’t miss them.  It’s a wee dent…..just have to keep it up.
