Help needed. Where is this?

Back to my photos project today. I am re-creating our 1989 trip to the UK. I have been able to identify most places we visited but this location eludes me. It was taken on 24 August 1989 and is somewhere between South Molton in North Devon and Hailes Abbey in the Cotswolds. A stately home? A school?  It's a long shot, but I wondered if any of my fellow Blippers could help me identify it. Fingers crossed.
