Heaven on Earth?

We had a sunny day but with a very strong westerly wind. Margaret and I were driven by Emily to Havelock, a township near the head of Pelorus Sound. We had coffee at a cafe then proceeded to Queen Charlotte Drive, up and over the Mahakipawa Hill and on to son Duncan’s Bush (Forest) Block. He’s called it “Mintopia” after his former cat, Minty who lies buried in a spot with a lovely view. We had most interesting visit with Bryan, the Birman scampering around after us as we inspected the track work and gardens in the Bush.
