Meal worm maths

At the beginning of lockdown I bought 1 litre of meal worms for the birds. (Delivered in the tub on the right).

1 litre = about 1kg right?

Wrong.  It may be about the same in volume as water but is certainly not in weight.

Today I received 3kg meal worms which were delivered in a bin bag!  I weighed out 1kg for comparison and put it in James's bin...hence the photo.  There is probably 5 times as much.

D'oh - I recommend taking the maths into account next time you buy meal worms online, and realising that if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is.
