River Walk

Before the impending weekenders and questionable weather arrive, we drove (15 mns) to the River Stour. One of the delights of the area. Yet we’ve only been twice.

Parked at Throop Village. Crossed at the Weir and followed the meandering path North. Not many people on the way. Passed a few ramblers, fishermen, cyclists, dog walkers, and kids paddling in the river. Photographed lots, but I’ve selected my favourite.

A passerby mentioned Hurn* airport (*aka Bournemouth) wasn’t far off. So we walked another couple of kms or so, past stables. Missed a Ryanair arrival from Malta by 5 mns. The next, a departure, was 2 hours later. Pity, there’s a grand view over to the runway. .

Back to the car. Collected a sourdough from Ms. Then on to friends in Poole for the ‘Luganica’ sausages they got us (long thin coiled sausage, typical of Northern Italy)
