Goodbye Urs

A sad day. We said goodbye to the best possible band member you could imagine. Taken way too soon, Urs worked with asbestos 30 years ago, the one year ago started with lung problems. The treatments weren’t successful, but he could spend the last month at home with his family,
He already planned what our band, Mägenwil Wohlenschwil harmony wind band would play to accompany the church service.

Urs played es Horn in our band, and as you can see, and also alphorn in two bands.
A beautiful sunny morning.
Just one thing was a bit odd, everyone in the church was wearing a mask, a good idea, but we, the band were sat close together, but away from everyone with no masks. Apparently that wasn’t against any rules or Schutzkonsept from the Aargaumusik Verband.
We went to the local beer garden, which Urs would certainly have never missed, to give him the best send off.
