The Duchess is in residence!

Dulcie, guide dog for Jo, has arrived for a short break. Someone called her the Duchess once and it's stuck. She's such a regal, dignified,totally dependable creature.

We've just returned from a quiet country walk - and "spring" is just written everywhere. So much to pot away at with the camera but I wanted to get a picture of Dulcie. The trouble is, she's so attentive to your requirements and needs that a halt to take a picture, or worse going onto one knee to get a low shots IMMEDIATELY halts the perfect pose and she SHOOTS back to find out what's wrong.

Jo says she's the perfect guide. I believe her.
