The Janus horse

I did some housework this morning then this afternoon went for a walk around Oswestry's Old Racecourse.  Horses were raced here until 1841 and the English and Welsh used to socialise at the events. It's a common now.

This is theJanus Horse looking towards England and Wales at the same time.  Part of the remains of the old grandstand are in the background.  I noticed that a child had chalked halter and riders on the horse.
