Sgwarnog: In the Field

Visitor

It was a good day to welcome my first visitor since lockdown, with Sister #1 coming over for a socially distanced lunch and a walk down to Tong Park in the sunshine. If we hadn't been socially distancing it might have been easier to tell if 12yo had now grown taller than than Auntie #1 (extra).

There were lots of butterflies out and about, but we were especially lucky when a Purple Hairstreak dropped off an oak tree onto some bracken right in front of us (extra) - which just shows that you can spend hours and days searching for something and then when you're not really looking it can turn up.

Picture of the day goes to the Moorhen chicks though. Who could resist these little fluff balls.
