Chateaus for days

This area of the Dordogne is known as the Cinq Chateau area but I’m sure I’ve spotted more. They seem to be nestled everywhere. But this is our local chateau at Beynac.

Started the morning with a run up to the castle again, stopping to pick up a croissant on the way down. A lazy morning of doing not very much and then a kayak and a swim in the afternoon.

A relaxed pace and good food. Holiday perfection.
