Ben Lawers group

There was the promise of a reasonable day in the hills today, so we decided to go and walk up a couple of Marilyns south of Loch Tay. We first went up the Graham, Shee of Ardtalnaig followed by the Corbett, Creagan na Beinne. I have to say that neither of them are particularly spectacular, but there was a lot of Grouse on the first one and I saw an Eagle and a Red Kite as well as numerous glimpses of what must be a large Vole population. The blip is the view over Loch Tay to the Ben Lawers hills from the lower slopes of Shee of Ardtalnaig and the extra a fine slump feature near to its top.  This has the much more exciting name of Ciste Buidhe a’ Claidheimh.

Best on black.
